UNDP “Women in STEM” mentorship program

Since June 2021, Leyla Baghirzade became a mentor at UNDP “Women in STEM” (S – science, T – technology, E – engineering, M – math) mentorship program. The aim is to equip young female professionals and students with the tools and advice they need to address the challenges they’ll face in their education and careers by enabling below key objectives:
– to inspire and grow female professionals across the industries;
– to help young women to develop a meaningful relationship with STEM role models;
– to create a community of like-minded people and enable opportunities to leverage professional connections.

Mentoring path in this program capture below main aspects but not limited to:
▪ Sharing personal experiences, lessons learned, recommendations throughout the course outline
▪ Assisting the mentee to discover her SWOT
▪ Enabling the mindset of continuous improvement
▪ Proper communication skills (writing, presentation, verbal, etc.) in business environment
▪ Understand project management approach, development, and deployment
▪ Application of project management tools, techniques, and skills
▪ Sharing the knowledge about Agile mindset and its tools
▪ Understand the implications, challenges, and opportunities of organizational dynamics in project management
▪ Introduction to Project Planning Tool: Primavera P6
▪ Identify and use key performance metrics (KPI) for project success
▪ Understand how to manage project cost, quality, and delivery
